We Want Some Mo, We Want Some Mo - Day 199

“Christianity will have power,” he (Trump) said. “If I’m there, you’re going to have plenty of power, you don’t need anybody else. You’re going to have somebody representing you very, very well. Remember that.” New York Times article, ‘Christianity Will Have Power’.

How is it that Evangelicals need a politician to exude the Father’s power? Evangelicals are relying on earthly, American, man-made institutions to bring Heaven to Earth or stated another way, “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done On Earth...” Is that possible? No.

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

”You are a king, then!” said Pilate.

“Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

”What is truth?” retorted Pilate.

And truly, I thought Evangelicals are here to show the Father’s love, to be crucified with Christ outside of “Roman” politics, demonstrating His power without gimmick.
