Dog-eat-dog survival is devoid of brotherhood, of compassion, community, and of true companionship. It is patronizing. It is possessive and oppressive. It’s protective for all the wrong reasons. It contains ever-growing paranoia, fear of vulnerability, anxious feelings of inadequacy and lack. It produces hoarders, the sick, and the tired. It creates rules of perfection, distance, guilt, along with harsh punishment. It creates over-exaggerated maleness and pitifully weak femininity. It leaves a trail of destruction in its wake including in the Soil and Atmosphere that sustains it. Western religion nor its constitutions have succeeded in taming this. Was either ever intended to do so? The answer is, No.
