About the Authors and Illustrator
Douglas R. Little is a United States Marine Corps honorably discharged veteran and
retired fire captain from the City of Columbia, S.C. Douglas has written poetry most of
his life, and he has a son, a daughter, and a life partner of 22 years. His son is a
graduate of the University of South Carolina and his daughter attends the University of
South Carolina Upstate. He has lived a blessed life and eagerly looks forward to future
Monique M. Law is a mother, sister, business-owner, two-time Clemson Graduate,
software architect, and devout Star Wars and Star Trek fan. Monique is a seeker of the
truth of African history, anthropology and spirituality. Monique’s daughter is a graduate
of the University of South Carolina. Monique describes her life as surprising and full.
Vicki Be Wicked is a traditional and digital artist from Durham, North Carolina. She has
a love for combining images and words to create visual stories. Since elementary
school, art has always been a part of her life with inspiration to practice from her father.
Oil painting was her medium of choice until college, when she discovered digital art.
Over the past years, Vicki illustrated books, colored graphic novels and produced
graphics for entrepreneurs.
